Marc Baker
Vice President of Sales
Marc Baker serves as Vice President
of Sales for FirstWatch. Under Marc’s expert guidance,
FirstWatch has begun to explore strategic partnerships with all
of the major Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) vendors and several
integrators. Marc is overseeing the development of the potential
VAR relationships and is spearheading the further exploration of
additional strategic partnerships with companies both inside and
outside the
U.S.A.
Marc has been involved in business
development, sales and publishing management for more than 20
years. In addition to starting several diverse
businesses—including his own media consulting business, he has
held positions as Director of Advertising and Senior Account
Executive with the consumer print titles:
San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles
Magazine and Around San Diego for McKinnon Broadcasting.
Marc has also served as Director of Advertising for the
La Jolla
Light Newspaper,
University City
Light Newspaper, as well
as the VISITOR Magazine for the Hotel del Coronado. In
addition to being a founding partner of KGB Media/RedFlash
Group, he is a member of the senior advisory team and the former
VP of Sales at
Carlsbad
based: Shop A-Z.com.
His experience
includes: business development, team building, recruiting, sales
management and all facets of marketing and advertising. He has
been a consistent, award-winning, top performer in numerous
sales positions, from Yacht Sales, to advertising to FirstWatch
systems. He has built solid relationships with clients in all
his past endeavors and has the unique ability to deliver
consistent, reliable and dynamic sales results in every field he
has entered.
Marc currently serves as Vice
President of Income Development for the American Cancer Society
and is also currently serving as an elected member of the
Regional Board of ACS for
San Diego
and
Imperial
Counties.
In addition he serves on the Board of San Dieguito Youth
Softball, where he has coached for the past 9 years. He received
his Bachelor of Arts degree from the
school
of Journalism
at
San Diego
State
University
with emphasis in Advertising; he also obtained minor degrees in
Marketing and Graphic design.
