Stout Solutions was founded in 1998 by Todd Stout and has become a nationally recognized leading supplier of software and custom reports to the emergency dispatch community. Its clients include many of the leading police, fire and EMS communication centers in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

In 2002, Stout Solutions expanded its operations in order to meet the demands being placed by the public safety industry for its Real Time Early Warning system, FirstWatch^(R), which was originally developed for biosurveillance purposes.  Since its release from beta in the fall of 2002, FirstWatch^(R) has been one of the most successful and rapid growing biosurveillance utilities on the market, and currently monitors EMS, Fire, Police, Hospital and Poison Control data for more than 75 agencies, which collectively protect more than 55 million citizens in the US and Canada.
